ACT/EMP is developing training packages on Managing Diversity and Equality at the Workplace, where the overall aim is to enhance the capacity of employers’ organizations and other representative business organizations to assist and work with enterprises to launch or further develop initiatives on diversity and equality at the workplace and thereby harnessing the potential of a diverse and gender equal workplace.

A Training Package on Work and Family -
(exe 29 MB, see Installation instruction below) has just recently been published as part of this programme. It is a joint undertaking by ACT/EMP and the ILO Conditions of Work and Employment Programme (TRAVAIL). It is primarily designed as a training package, but with the easy-to-use structure, it can also be used for self-study or for reference on work and family issues at the workplace. It contains a wide range of information, activities, examples of good practices and other resources to guide action and initiatives on work and family. The training package aims to illustrate, describe and assist in the development of work and family initiatives, and how these can become enterprise policies, while at the same time, also be an integral and compatible part of competitive and productive enterprise management.

A Training Package on Ageing -

see Download instruction below), a joint undertaking by the ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) and the ILO Conditions of Work and Employment Programme (TRAVAIL), has also recently been published. It is primarily designed as a training package for employers’ Organizations and enterprises to assist them develop programmes and policies that create decent and productive conditions of work and employment that address older age workers in the workplace. It aims to suggest and demonstrate how the retention and recruitment of older workers can be an integral and compatible part of competitive and productive enterprise management. With the easy-to-use structure, it can also be used for self-study or for reference, and contains a wide range of information, activities, examples of good practices and other resources to guide action and initiatives on aging at the enterprise level.
