7434 FURRIERS AND RELATED WORKERS
 


    Furriers and related workers make, alter, repair and restyle garments and other articles made of fur, or participate in the manufacture of ready-to-wear fur garments.

    Tasks include -

    (a) choosing, stretching and trimming dressed furs to conform to the chosen pattern outline of fur garments or other articles;

    (b) making coats, jackets and other fur garments and articles;

    (c) participation in the manufacture of ready-to-wear fur clothing;

    (d) reclaiming furs or skins from old coats, gluing fabric to interior of fur coats and trimming blocked fur garments;

    (e) altering, restyling and repairing fur garments and other fur articles;

    (f) performing related tasks;

    (g) supervising other workers.
