MINOR GROUP 345: POLICE INSPECTORS AND DETECTIVES
 


    Police inspectors and detectives investigate crimes committed and try to obtain information about persons and establishments which may be used in crime prevention.

    Tasks performed usually include: investigating facts and circumstances relating to crimes committed in order to identify culprits; collecting information about persons or establishments usually with the aim of preventing a crime; investigating suspicious behaviour in enterprises, shops and other public places; making arrests, if authorised; testifying in courts of law. Supervision of other workers may be included.
