    Buyers buy goods and services on behalf of industrial, commercial or other enterprises and organisations.

    Tasks include -

    (a) negotiating and contracting for the purchase of equipment, raw materials, products and supplies for industrial plant, utilities, government units or other establishments and the purchasing of merchandise for resale;

    (b) obtaining information about requirements and stock, and determining quantity and quality to be purchased, costs, delivery dates and other contract conditions;

    (c) performing related tasks;

    (d) supervising other workers.
