Additional information:   As a general rule the ILO is looking for people with the following qualifications:

P5 Usually 10-15 years of which 5-7 years at the international level Advanced university degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional qualification The working languages of the ILO are English, French and Spanish.

Posts usually require an excellent command of one language and a good working language of one of the other two. Knowledge of the third would be an advantage.

P4 Usually 7 years of which 3-5 years at the international level

Usually 3-5 years of which 3 years at the national level and 2 years at the international level
G7 Usually 10-15 years Secondary, technical or commercial school - occasionally supplemented by tertiary training

Posts usually require an excellent command of one language and a good working language of one of the other two. Knowledge of the third would be an advantage.

G6 Usually 8 years Secondary, technical or commercial school
G5 Usually 5-7 years
G4 Usually 2-4 years
G3 Usually 2 years
