In response to the proposal regarding the project, "Organized Labour in the 21st Century", which was sent to me earlier, I can only congratulate your organization for putting together such an important and coherent proposal.
The only thing I may suggest is that perhaps the project can more clearly highlight the challenge for trade union movement posed by various moves towards so-called globalization, which basically implies that increasingly there is an effort to build an international institutional framework where the more "mobile" capital will be free to choose where they operate (and create problems) while the less "mobile" labour is there to pick up the pieces. This point is already made in various places in the outline, but I thought it could be further emphasised - especially the fact that this move towards globalization is NOT something that is produced by structural forces beyond political and policy controls.
