  13 November 2008 - The Italian government and the International Labour Organization signed a new Programme Cooperation Agreement for the period 2008-2010 aimed at promoting key areas of the Decent Work Agenda, including employment creation—especially for youth—labour rights, social dialogue and social protection and the empowerment of women.

  13 November 2008 - Irish Aid, the development agency of the Government of Ireland, on 4 November 2008 signed an agreement with the International Labour Office for a new grant of €9 million for 2008-2011 that will give a significant boost to its partnership with the labour organization.
• ILO strengthens efforts to help private sector fight forced labour and human trafficking
