1995 Survey on Children 5 - 17 Years Old (SCL), Manila, Philippines 
Migration



Of the 2.6 million households with working children, 2.8 percent or 73 thousands had lived in the place where they were surveyed for only less than five years. Most of these households transferred from their barangay to other barangays but still within the municipality (31.2%). Some transferred to other municipalities but within the province (23.2%). There were also those who transferred to other provinces (19.6%).

These households transferred residence due to the following reasons: resettlement (16.8%), looking for a job (15.3%), peace and order situation (14.4%), job transfer (7.9%), found a business (6.5%), etc.
