Promoting decent work in India: October - December 2021
This is the fourth edition of the update covering key initiatives and achievements of the ILO and its constituents contributing to the priorities of India Decent Work Country Programme 2018-22
Overcoming the challenges that 2021 posed, the last quarter of the year involved several fruitful engagements, that the ILO was able to conduct in-person with several constituents.
A National tripartite conference on the global call to action for a human centred recovery from COVID-19, in the context of India, was held jointly with the Ministry of Labour and Employment. The conference was envisaged to foster convergence and tripartite action contributing to the implementation of the ILO Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work and SDGs in India.
Workers and employers were consulted for the development of the UN Sustainable Development Country Framework 2023-27.
