Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. Training of trainers and enterprises on SCoRE Module 1 - Workplace Cooperation

    10 - 20 October 2011

    The purpose of the TOT is to provide a combination of class-room training and on-site coaching on SCoRE Methodology.

  2. National Convention on Corporate Social Responsibility on HIV/AIDS in the World of Work

    29 September 2011

    The convention will enable the ILO constituents to share experiences, challenges and best practices in designing effective HIV and AIDS response in the world of work.

  3. Work Improvements in Small Enterprises (WISE) - Final Workshop

    23 September 2011

    An opportunity for the trainers who participated in the TOT to share their experiences in training of enterprises; for the entrepreneurs/enterprises who participated in the training to share the improvements made by them after the training and its impact at the workplace.

  4. Second Meeting of the National Skills and TVET Data Working Group

    21 September 2011

    Second meeting of Working Group, chaired by MOLE, to guide the process of ILO-initiated study to review current sources and availability of skills development data and develop a proposal for a more coherent data system.

  5. National Workshop on Skills Development for Employers Organizations

    31 August - 1 September 2011

    The shortage of skills in India is recognized as one of the key obstacles not only for broad-based employment growth but for sustaining employment-intensive industry growth in priority sectors as well. The 11th 5 Year Plan identifies the link between labour-intensive growth and the expansion of skills in the labour market and recognises skills and knowledge as driving forces of economic growth and social development with a goal of skilling 500 million by 2022. This is also considered necessary to ensure that India's demographic profile is used as an advantage. The upcoming 12th 5-Year Plan also places significant priority on skills development and faster generation of employment.

  6. Training on Direct Beneficiary Monitoring and Reporting System

    29 July 2011

    The direct beneficiary monitoring and reporting system (DBMR) system aims to track the situation of direct beneficiaries – their educational and work status information, their progress, to show how their situation evolves from child labour to non-child labour.

  7. Zonal Meeting on Promotion of Equality at Work in India (manual scavenging part only)

    21 July - 8 September 2011

    To discuss challenges and problems manual scavengers and their family members face regarding occupational discrimination and for obtaining decent livelihood • To discuss and assess implementation of government policies and schemes which are available for rehabilitation of scavengers and demolition of dry latrines • To develop an action plan for elimination of manual scavenging with the inputs and suggestions of participants based on available schemes and in line with legislation in force.

  8. Strategic Planning Meeting with Employers

    11 July 2011

    The meeting will discuss a strategic approach to the delivery of Start and Improve Your Business project through employers’ organizations.

  9. Training of Trainers on HIV and AIDS for Trade Unions

    28 - 29 June 2011

    Training of Trainers’ on HIV and AIDS for Trade Union Representatives from unorganised sector.

  10. Working Group Meeting on Implementation of the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Cess Act, 1996

    27 June 2011

    As a follow up to the Tripartite Consultation held in March 2011 to enhance implementation of the above Act, a Working Group has been constituted by the Ministry of Labour and Employment with ILO as the Convenor. The first meeting is held on 27 June to discuss standardization of the documents for implementation of the Act.
