Panudda Boonpala, Director, ILO Decent Work Team for South Asia and Country Office for India, congratulates government, employers, workers, civil society actors and all partners on the historic ratification of ILO core conventions on Child Labour, Minimum Age Convention, 1973 (No. 138), and Worst Forms of Child Labour Convention, 1999 (No. 182). The Government, employers, unions, civil society and the public at large must continue to unite and shape a strong alliance so as to now fully achieve the implementation of these two child labour Conventions.
