NEPAL: Migration of Working Children in Nepal (1995-96)

A report on the study on “Migration of Working Children” in Nepal done using the Migration and Employment Survey, 1996.

This report focuses on a study on migration of working children in Nepal conducted using a nationally representative sample based on the Migration and Employment Survey, 1996 carried out by the Central Department of Population Studies (CDPS), Tribhuvan University. The main objective of this study is to provide estimates of migrant child labourer as well as to examine activities of the children by migration status. By scale and content, this is the first study of its kind. The probability proportionate to size (PPS) technique involved the selection of samples from rural and urban areas.
