ILO Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific's first visit to India

ILO Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Yoshiteru Uramoto visits India.

Mr. Yoshiteru Uramoto, ILO Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific based in Bangkok, will visit India from 13 to 15 February 2013. This will be Mr. Uramoto’s first visit to India after taking-over as Regional Director for Asia and Pacific in October 2012.

The main objectives of Mr. Uramoto’s visit are:
During his brief visit, Mr. Uramoto will interact with 2 Cabinet Ministers and 2 State-level Ministers of the Government of India in addition to officials of a number of GOI Ministries, policy planners, academia, the United Nations Resident Coordinator, UN officials, international organizations, the diplomatic community, media and others. He will make a field visit to Faridabad to see the Government of India’s National Child Labour Programme and Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana Programme in action.
