On 19 April 2019, the Ministry of Labour and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic chaired the Second session of the Technical Working Group organized to advice on the implementation of the Pilot on analysis of the demand for the skilled labour force and interpretation of results obtained for efficient TVET enrolment planning. The session was arranged under and with technical support of the ILO Project “Applying the G20 Training strategy: A partnership of the ILO and the Russian Federation” (Phase 2) funded by the Russian Federation.

The session benefited from extended composition of its participants which were invited to the Second session of the TWG – apart from Government, Workers’ and Employers’ organizations, lyceums, colleges, employment centres, statistical offices, it was attended by rayon administration, tax services of Chuy region.

The purpose of the TWG meeting was to inform its members about progress made so far under the Pilot, to get their concurrence to sampling of judicial and individuals, to discuss and agree draft questionnaire to be used for the establishment survey and get their recommendations.

The Project lead expert presented the concept of the pilot project on analysis of the demand and supply in the labour market for planning of TVET enrolment in its detailed shape:

• Sampling of judicial entities and individuals for the establishment survey;
• Analysis of the data base on the unemployed registered in the employment services of Chuy oblast,
• Analysis of trends in the number of employed people by rayons of Chuy oblast;
• Analysis of the results for calculation of demand for 2019 and forecasts for 2022 by occupations and qualifications.

The National project experts presented information about registered unemployed and vacancies in Chuy region of the country, analysis in the dynamics in growth/ reduction of the employed population in Chuy region by industry sectors.
