Regional Alliance of Labour Inspections of CIS and Mongolia Holds General Conference

On December 23, 2020 the Regional Alliance of Labour Inspections of the CIS and Mongolia (RALI CIS and Mongolia) held its General Conference which went online for the first time. The event was attended by the Alliance representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and the ILO Moscow Office.

The conference was organized by the Republic of Kazakhstan which chaired the Alliance in 2020.

The conference discussed labour law compliance control practices in the context of growing incidence of the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 and areas of cooperation between the Alliance and the ILO Moscow Office. Reports on changes to the national law regarding protection of labour rights and OSH were also presented.

The Federal Employment Service (Rostrud) was represented by Ivan Shklovets, Deputy Director, member of the Executive Committee and Vice-President of the International Association of Labour Inspection. In his presentation, Ivan Shklovets pointed out to a need to conclude a cooperation protocol between the RALI CIS and the ILO Moscow Office to foster cooperation and told about labour inspection practices and legal changes in the Russian Federation.

In 2021, the Alliance will be chaired by the Republic of Armenia represented by the respective inspection body.
