ILO Supports a Knowledge Exchange Platform for Young Researchers

The 11th interuniversity roundtable, "Russian Labour Market through the Eyes of Young Scientists," was held at the Moscow State University (MSU) on October 9, 2020, as part of the XV Science Festival "Labour and Man through the Eyes of Young Scientists: Creativity in a New Reality".

Organized by MSU’s Department of Labour and Personnel Economics and Department of Philosophy and Methodology of Economics with the support of the ILO Moscow office, the roundtable was held online. Speakers included not only young researchers, but also faculty members of MSU and other academic institutions in Moscow and other parts of the Russian Federation. In total, 70 participants took part in the event, and 20 of them shared their ideas and research as speakers.



In her opening remarks, Kanae Tada, Technical Officer of the ILO Moscow office, presented results of the recent ILO research on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the labour market, particularly on youth employment. She mentioned the valued, long-lasting partnership between the ILO and MSU, welcomed young researchers and encouraged them to actively exchange their views during the conference.
