ILO Academy on Employment: A Training Course in Moscow

The ILO Academy on Employment, a three-day training course for the Public Employment Service staff, took place at the Federal Service for Labour and Employment (Rostrud) on March 19-21, 2019.

It was attended by heads of ministries and departments of employment from almost 20 regions of Russia.

The course was organized jointly with the International Labour Organization and involved its leading experts. The ILO Centenary, future of work and the role of the state employment service were among the central topics.

The opening ceremony featured presentations by Vsevolod Vukolov, Rostrud Director, and Mikhail Kirsanov, Director of the Employment Department at the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection.

Olga Koulaeva, ILO Moscow Office Director, presented the main points and conclusions of the Global Commission on the Future of Work report. She specifically underlined the role of institutions which regulate the labour market and the role of employment services in implementing people-centered policies.
