Training on International Labour Standards and Equality in Baku
On 29-30 March 2018 the ILO rendered a technical support to the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of the Population of Azerbaijan in organizing the training on International Labour Standards and Equality.
The ILO Moscow officials Lejo Sibbel, Sr. Specialist on International Labour Standards and Labour Law, Valentin Mocanu, Sr. Labour Administration, Labour Inspection and Occupational Safety and Health Specialist, Nicolas Studer, Wages Specialist, attended the training.
The ILO officials made presentations entitled Introduction to the International Labour Standards of the ILO, Promoting women’s access to employment, The Role of Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination in improving working conditions, The Role of Social Dialogue in promoting workplace compliance.
Training was also attended by Régis Brillat, Head of Department, Executive Secretary of the European Committee of Social Rights of the Council of Europe, who made a presentation on Standards on Equality and Non-Discrimination in the Revised European Social Charter.
