Kyrgyzstan Appoints New Minister of Labour and Social Development
On 11 November 2016, Taalaikul Isakunova was appointed Minister of Labour and Social Development of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Taalaikul Isakunova was born on 14 July 1967. She is a graduate of Frunze Polytechnic Institute and holds a law degree from the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University.
As part of her career, she has worked with the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan and has served over the years as expert and project manager in a number of non-governmental and international organizations, including the Centre for Research of Democratic Processes, which she led between 2006 and 2015.
Since December 2015, Taalaikul Isakunova has been a member of the Kyrgyz Parliament, where she has served on the Parliamentary Committee for Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and Rules of Procedure.
