The first payments from the funded component of pensions will be made in Kyrgyzstan, Rakhatbek Pirmatov, Head of the Agency on the State Pension Savings Fund said today at a press conference.

Recall, funded component in the amount of 2 percent of the employee's salary has been introduced for Kyrgyz citizens since January 1, 2010. These funds are accumulated on a personal savings account of a citizen.

According to Rakhatbek Pirmatov, several categories of people have right to get money from the funded component of pension. They are working pensioners who have retired and have made contributions to the state pension savings fund for 2010-2011. The second category is the heirs of the dead insured persons who have made these contributions during their life. The third category is people who leave Kyrgyzstan.

"Pension is calculated in two ways: immediate and one-time. Immediate pension is granted if sum on the account 15 times exceeds the size of the basic pension. Now it is 1.5 thousand soms, so the threshold amount is 22,500 soms. If the insured person has accumulated less, the money will be paid one-time-only,” Rakhatbek Pirmatov told.
