Azerbaijan: New president of Employers’ Confederation

On June 30 the National Confederation of Entrepreneurs’ (Employers’) Organizations of Azerbaijan elected Mammad Musayev as its new president.

Mammad Musayev was born in 1955. In 1976 he graduated from Azerbaijan State Institute of National Economy named after Dadash Bunyadzade and earned a masters degree in economics.

In 1976–1984 he worked in various positions in the Republican Office of the State Bank of the USSR in Azerbaijan.

In 1984-1992 he served as the head of the branch of the State Bank in the Garadakh region and the head of Operational Department in the Agro-Industrial Bank. In 1992 Mammad Musayev was appointed as the Chairman of the Management Board in Joint-Stock Commercial Agro-Industrial Bank of the Azerbaijan Republic and since 2001 he has served as the Chairman of Joint-Stock Credit Organization Aqrarkredit.

Married with three children.
