    A Workshop was held in Bishkek from July 25-29 in in the context of the project "Assessing the economic contribution of labour migration in developing countries as countries of destination" (ECLM). The workshop was organised in collaboration with OcOO DialectICON, a research institution in Kyrgyzstan, and discussed the implementation of a study of the manufacturing and trade sectors.

  1. Maternity protection and the Gender Dimensions of Social Security training

    10 - 11 December 2015

    ILO organized a national training on Maternity Protection issues. Held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan from 10th December to 11th December 2015, the event aimed at fostering knowledge among government, employers and trade unions representatives and providing participants with information and about Maternity protection and the Gender Dimensions of Social Security.

  1. Capacity building training with the labour inspection on child labour

    On November 25 – 27, a three-day capacity-building training was organized, in which 20 regional labour inspections from Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, Sughd region and several republican- subordinated regions of Tajikistan took part.

  2. First phase of training for trade unions project implemented in Uzbekistan

    The first seminar in a series of similar events provided for in the advanced training of trainers project for trade unions in Uzbekistan was successfully completed in the country on 24 – 30 November. This project is part of the Decent Work Agenda for the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2014 – 2016, agreed upon between the International Labour Organization and the Republic of Uzbekistan.
