PES Role in Overcoming the COVID-19 Crisis, and the Future of Work

Introductory Module

The introductory module will provide the participants with an overview of the PES online training course with an opportunity to learn about PES core services and how they can be adapted, and adjusted, to respond to the COVID-19 crisis, and to delve deeper into specific topics covered in the PES Regional Training Manual, such as services for jobseekers; services for employers; services for disadvantaged groups and partnerships for employment promotion. Participants will understand the expected profile of the future applicant wanted to be enrolled for the PES Online Training, the objectives, the agenda and how to register.

The online training for PES and employment services in the CIS countries will provide an opportunity for practitioners to engage in peer to peer learning around five key themes. The online training will be composed of a series of webinars together with independent learning, self-assessment and peer to peer exchange. The content of the online training will primarily be based around the PES Regional Training manual, highlighting the most topical aspects in relation to the COVID-19 crisis response in East Europe and Central Asia, taking into consideration international labour standards and best practices.

Moderator: Mr. Ramiro Pizarro, Manager of the Project “Partnerships for Youth Employment in the CIS”.

Webinar will be conducted in Russian and English. Q&A session will follow the presentation.
