  1. Panel consultation on the ILO’s Future of Work Initiative in Azerbaijan

    30 March 2017

    On 17 March 2017 the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Azerbaijan conducted a first panel consultation on the ILO’s Future of Work Initiative with participation of social partners, concerned government agencies, universities and academic staff including National Academy of Sciences and private sector. Following these discussions at the Ministry the panel consultations held in Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA), Confederation of Trade Unions and Confederation of Employers (Entrepreneurs).

  2. Baku Hosts PES Course under 2017-2030 Employment Strategy

    On 27 February – 1 March 2017, ILO Moscow Office conducted a three-day training course in Baku for employees of Public Employment Services (PES) of Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population.

  3. CIS and BRICS Representatives Meet in Turin to Discuss Youth Employment

    29 January 2017

    On 23 to 28 January 2017, Turin, Italy, hosted a subregional conference on youth employment, attended by representatives of the CIS and BRICS countries, tripartite members of the regional youth employment network established within the framework of the LUKOIL-funded ILO Project "Partnerships on Youth Employment in the CIS," the ILO Moscow and ILO HQ officials and international experts.

    Maternity protection, aiming to protect the health of mother and child as well as women’s economic and employment security, was identifi ed as one of the priority area agreed by the tripartite constituents in the Republic of Azerbaijan in 2011.
