  2. The ILO Centenary climbs to new heights

    To mark the ILO Centenary, Matin Karimli, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan, ascended the Heydar peak at the height of 3751 meters above sea level. The peak is named after the previous President and national leader Heydar Aliyev.

  3. Future of Work Agenda for Young Workers in Azerbaijan

    A training workshop for the Public Employment Services (PES) was held on 16-19 April in Baku. Focused on youth employment, lifelong-learning and youth labor transitions, bringing into action the policy recommendations for investing in people's capabilities outlined in the report of the Global Commission for the Future of Work.

  5. Training for Employers’ Confederation in Azerbaijan

  6. Fifth Training Course for Public Employment Service Conducted in Baku

    The course that was held from 4 to 7 December 2018 was the fifth in a series of capacity building activities aimed at strengthening the Public Employment Service (PES) in Azerbaijan within the framework of the ILO Project “Partnerships for Youth Employment in the CIS” funded by the Russian company LUKOIL.

  7. Employers’ Organizations discuss membership strategies

    In collaboration with the ILO International Training Center (ITCILO) in Turin, ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia has organized a Sub-regional training on Membership strategies and Service design and delivery, which was held on 19 - 21 November 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

  8. Regional conference on Labour Inspection in NIS

    The ILO-ACTRAV, in cooperation with the Pan-European Regional Council of the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC-PERC) organized a regional conference for the ITUC-PERC affiliates in the Newly Independent States (NIS) on 26-27 September in Tbilisi. The participants discussed challenges of effective functioning of the labour inspections to supervise implementation of labour and occupational health and safety standards. Taking part were trade union leaders, technical specialists and trade union labour inspectors from Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia.

  9. Training on Effective management of Employers’ and Business Membership Organizations held in Baku
