The ILO International Labour Migration Database was developed to make statistical information on international labour migration widely available. As of 1 January 2008, the ILM database has been integrated with the ILO Database on Labour Statistics (LABORSTA) operated by the ILO Bureau of Statistics.
On the LABORSTA welcome page please click on "Statistics" in the left menu; choose the "By topic" option; and from the "Other indicators" section select "International Labour Migration Statistics".
The anti-discrimination action profiles on the Internet is part of the program "Promoting equality in diversity: Integration in Europe", implemented by the International Labour Office and its partners with the financial support of the European Union. This project promotes and supports broad community engagement throughout European Union member countries in facilitating integration of and combating discrimination against migrants. The Anti-discrimination Action Profiles database includes identifying, evaluating and disseminating effective practices.
The International Migration Branch of the ILO offers access here to worldwide good practices on labour migration implemented by governments, social partners and civil society in both countries of origin and destination, as well as regional and international institutions. Good practices are identified on the basis of a specific set of criteria included in an evaluation matrix designed and tested by the International Migration Branch of the ILO. It is our hope that the good practices database on labour migration would assist constituents in member states in their efforts to developing and improving migration policies and programmes to maximize benefits of labour migration and minimize its negative consequences.
