The ILO Country Office for the Philippines (CO-Manila) publishes a wide range of books, reports, working papers, training manuals, CD-ROMs, videos and flash movies. Some of these can be downloaded directly. Others can be requested or purchased in hard copy from the ILO Knowledge Centre in Manila or by email.

Youth (15–24 years) will be hit harder than adults (25 and older) in the immediate crisis and also risk bearing higher longer-term economic and social costs, says a joint ILO-ADB report.

  15. Enterprise survey tool: Assessing training needs resulting from COVID-19

    This enterprise survey template is made available to employer and business membership organizations (EBMOs) so that they can assess the training and development needs their members require for staff. The survey will enable EBMOs to adapt their own provision of training to its members and support the development of a tailored curriculum with an appropriate pricing strategy. It will also provide an indication of members’ preference for virtual training so EBMOs can consider both short-term and longer-term investment in digitalizing training services.

  16. Employer organizations in the governance of TVET and skills systems

    This report is Phase II of the “Employer Organizations and the Governance of TVET and Skills Systems” project which represents a collaboration between the Skills and Employability Branch (SKILLS) and the Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Around 40 EOs from the network of employer and business membership organizations in ILO member States were approached to participate in a questionnaire. The questions were grouped into six themes. These were, the national operating context; policy and strategy; labour market information and planning; work-based learning; quality assurance (and national qualification frameworks –NQFs); and globalization. This report reflects selected aspects from within the first five themes.

    The Guide on Training Methodology for EBMOs is the result of a fruitful collaboration between the Programme for Employers’ Activities of the International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ITCILO ACTEMP) and the Dutch Employers Cooperation Programme (DECP). The present publication aims to guide in a very practical way EBMOs which are planning to set up or which are running a training service. It focusses on the fundamental concepts of adult learning and the role of the trainer, proposes a step-by-step methodology on how to design a training and finally presents practical tools and tips to use innovative and engaging adult learning methodologies in training activities.
