Regional Training Workshop on Employment Relations, Labour Law Reforms and Decent Work

The training workshop aims to develop the technical capacities of the trade unions in Asia-Pacific in the area of labour law and employment relationships so as to promote freedom of association, rights to collective bargaining and social protection for all workers, including for those in precarious and informal employment relationships such as contractual, casual and agency workers.

It is also further aimed at deepening the understanding of the trade union representatives on the forces shaping the world of work in this age of globalization, learn about changing nature of labour markets, employment relationships, ILO Recommendations (R198) on regulating employment relationships and the role that ILO standards on freedom of association and collective bargaining play in promoting Decent Work for all workers. The workshop will also discuss union policies and actions for organizing and social protection of contractual and other workers in precarious employment and influencing labour law reforms.
