Where: Makati City, Philippines
Contact(s): Ms Maria Edna Soriano, National Coordinator for Social Finance Programme

The ILO is pilot testing a new training course, “Improving Financial Institutions’ Microinsurance Offering,” in the Philippines on 11-12 April 2013.

The course aims to help microinsurance services providers—banks, mutual benefit associations, microfinance institutions, cooperatives, non-government organizations, identify ways to improve their products and delivery services to low income households.

Seasoned trainers from the ILO’s Microinsurance Innovation Facility, Cheryl Frankiewicz and Aparna Dalal, will run the course. Twenty-five microinsurance practitioners from various parts of the country are expected to participate.
