Experts Meeting on the Philippines Country Review of the Skills Development System and Delivery

With funding from the ILO/Korea Partnership Programme, an experts meeting to initiate the review of the Philippines skills development system and delivery will be conducted.

The study will apply a broad common analytical framework and taking off from the proposed indicators for assessing Technical Vocational Education and Training developed by the Inter-agency group on TVET. This inter-agency group is comprised of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the World Bank (WB), the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the European Commission (EC), the European Training Foundation (ETF) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

This meeting will gather experts and stakeholders from the government, international organizations, workers and employers organizations. At the end of the experts meeting, it is expected that the proposed TVET indicators will be validated and the process flow and coverage of the study will be enhanced.
