Skills training and enterprise development for dressmaking: Certificate of competencies (COC)

The International Labour Organization (ILO), in partnership with the United Youth of the Philippines-Women, Inc. conducted the dressmaking skills training; value formation, leadership skills and life skills education for out-of-school youth; and community-based enterprise development that contributes to achieving early recovery and transitional development of the marginalized and internally displaced persons (IDPs) through offering of livelihood training and links to decent work opportunities.

The skills training and enterprise development was intended to enhance the capacity and capability of the IDP communities to access income generating opportunities and employment which are decent, responsive, competitive and sustainable. The expected result for ILO is to significantly contribute in empowering the IDP communities towards their self-reliance and socio-economic development.
