Filipino healthcare professionals are among the most sought after around the globe. Their experiences as temporary or permanent migrants depend on a variety of factors ranging from those in the Philippines that convinced them to leave (push factors) to those elements that enticed them to the destination country (pull factors). While some factors will entice them to remain or return home to the Philippines (stick factors), some other elements will contribute to migrant healthcare professionals staying longer in the destination country (stay factors). The migration experience will also vary according to their recruitment and reintegration experiences.
