BRIDGE Project Inception Meeting

Together with the UNWOMEN and the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the ILO Country Office for the Philippines is one of the implementing UN agencies of the Joint Programme, “Bridging Recruitment to Reintegration in Migration Governance (BRIDGE)” -- a two-year programme that is supported by Start-Up Fund for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (Multi-Partner Trust Fund for Migration). This Joint Programme underpins the Philippines’ commitment to the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration (GCM), focusing on Objective 6: Facilitating fair and ethical recruitment and Objective 21: cooperating to facilitate safe and dignified return of migrants. The Programme helps capacitate government and national stakeholders on ensuring policies and practices on fair and ethical recruitment and safe reintegration of migrants are in place.

Following the Launch in December 2020, BRIDGE Programme will hold a 1.5. hour virtual inception meeting with programme partners from the Government of the Philippines, civil society, and relevant UN agencies. The activity will take place on 8 April 2021 at 13:30 (Manila time) and will consist of outcome-level presentations and technical discussion of the various activities to be conducted under the programme, including roles and action points requested from partners.
