Training-Workshop on the Philippines Employment Projections Model

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Office for the Philippines conducted a training-workshop on the Philippines Employment Projections Model (PEPM).

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in collaboration with the International Labour Organization Country Office for the Philippines (ILO CO-Manila) conducted a training-workshop on the Philippines Employment Projections Model (PEPM). This capacity-building activity was facilitated by Ms Souleima El Achkar Hilal, Labour Market Information Consultant. The training-workshop aimed to introduce national government agencies to employment projections work which will include updating the model incorporating latest data available as well as generating relevant analysis.

Participants of the training-workshop included representatives from DOLE, Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Tourism (DOT).

The PEPM will be used as input to the Human Resource Development (HRD) strategic plan, which will complement industries covered in the DTI-Board of Investments (BOI) industry road mapping initiative.
