Training on Respecting, Protecting and Fulfilling of Workers’ Rights

A series of joint training sessions involving the Philippine National Police, the Department of Labor and Employment and the ILO will be held to promote freedom of association and workers rights by implementing agreed guidelines and adopting a human rights approach.

To support the effective implementation of the guidelines and the PNP's own initiative on adopting a human rights approach to policing, the first of a series of joint training sessions involving the PNP, Department of Labor and Employment and the ILO, commences on 15 January 2013 in Manila. The sessions will work on informing attendees about the applicable national laws, ILO Conventions and principles relating to the use of the guidelines.
