Users Training on Child Labour Knowledge Sharing System (CLKSS) for the Provincial Child Labour Committees

The establishment of a multi-level functional system on child labour is one of the strategy directions under the Philippine Program Against Child Labor (PPACL) Strategic Framework for 2007-2015. The IPEC Programme, through its strategy on knowledge management, will build the capacities of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), National Child Labor Committee (NCLC), and other relevant government agencies and social partners has helped develop a system that would facilitate the utilization of data especially in support of national and local child labour policy development and programme design, implementation, and evaluation. This system is what we call the Child Labour Knowledge Sharing System (CLKSS).

The objective of the one-day training will be to equip participants with knowledge and skills of using CLKSS for their child labour data needs and also to increase their ability to share date relevant to Philippine Program against Child Labor (PPACL).

By the end of the training workshop, the participants are expected to: (a) have acquired the knowledge and skills to use CLKSS; (b) be able to process data, including uploading and downloading, and report generation, using actual data from their own organization relevant to child labour; (c) have the necessary information and knowledge to apply the appropriate key concepts and definitions related to knowledge management; and (d) be able to give echo training to provincial child labour focal persons on CLKSS.
