    The ILO has announced the winning stories of the 2017 Global Media Competition on Labour Migration, of which two came from the Philippines.

  2. Safe and Fair: Realizing women migrant workers’ rights and opportunities in the ASEAN region

    The project is part of the EU-UN Spotlight Initiative to eliminate violence against women and girls, a global, multi-year initiative between the European Union and United Nations. Safe and Fair is implemented through a partnership between the ILO and UN Women, in collaboration with UNODC, with the overriding objective of ensuring that labour migration is safe and fair for all women in the ASEAN region.

  1. Integrated programme on fair recruitment (FAIR): Fact sheet

    The long-term goal of the FAIR project is the reduction in deceptive and coercive practices during the recruitment process and in violations of fundamental principles and rights at work, as well as other human and labour rights, by enhancing safe migration options, and ensuring effective regulation of public and private employment agencies and accountability for unscrupulous actors.

  1. Annual meeting to review the implementation process of the Cambodian Labour Migration Policy

    This meeting will be held to assess the implementation status of the Cambodian Policy on Labour Migration (2015-2018) as well as to develop action plans and priorities for its implementation in the coming year. It is part of wider efforts to maximise the contribution of labour migration to inclusive and stable growth in the ASEAN region.

  2. Training on Fair Recruitment of Philippines and Hong Kong Associations of Recruitment Agencies

    The Integrated Programe on Fair Recruitment (FAIR project) is committed to exploring new ideas that could help reduce deceptive and abusive recruitment practices. The FAIR project has undertaken the training of Philippines and Hong Kong Kong private recruitment agency associations on fair recruitment.

    The RPAC will provide technical and strategic guidance and governance to TRIANGLE in ASEAN and ensure that the programme remains aligned with ASEAN priorities and regional frameworks.

  2. 10th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour

    The Forum is convened and hosted by the Philippine Department of Labor and Employment with the support of the ASEAN Secretariat, ILO, IOM, UN Women and the Taskforce on ASEAN Migrant Workers.

  3. Filipino Migrant Worker's Day

    As part of the ILO Integrated Programme on Fair Recruitment (FAIR) research agenda, the ILO Country Office for the Philippines (ILO-CO Manila) commissioned a research report that seeks to understand challenges and opportunities that will contribute to the promotion of fair recruitment practices across a specific migration corridor between the Philippines and Hong Kong.
