  6. Workshop on Negotiating Collective Bargaining Agreements: Capacity Building for Trade Union Negotiators

    The workshop aims to know the key elements and processes of (win-win) negotiations and be able to go to the negotiation table prepared for the positive or negative results. It also aims for unions to know how to use social dialogue in productive or negative results. It will also level-off and reconcile key international and national principles and concepts of negotiations vis-à-vis law and practice in the private and public sectors. It will also discuss Collective Bargaining law and practice in the Philippines.

  7. Technical mission towards effective application of the revised Seafarers’ Identity Documents Convention in the Philippines

    The ILO initiates technical assistance to the Philippine government through a technical mission on the revised Seafarers' Identity Documents Convention, 2003 (No. 185) to ensure its effective application.

  8. A forum on peace in the context of indigenous peoples participation and consultation/advancing the promotion of the ILO Convention Indigneous and Tribal Peoples (No. 169)

    The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), in cooperation with the ILO, will conduct a Second Round Table Discussion on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples to discuss Indigneous Peoples Participation in the Mindanao Peace Process and the way forward in the ratification of ILO Convention No. 169. This will also be the ocassion to launch the book entitled "A Comparative Study of the IPRA, ILO Convention No. 169 and UNDRIP."

  9. National Conference on ILO Convention 151

    The International Labour Organization adopted in 1981 the Convention 151 – Labour Relations (Public Service), which concerns protection of the right to organize and procedures for determining conditions of employment in the public service, noting the considerable expansion of public-service activities in many countries and the need for sound labour relations between public authorities and public employees’ organizations.

  10. Forum on ILO Convention 151 for Senate Legislative Staff and Officers

    26 November 2012

    ILO Convention 151 seeks to address current problems faced by civil servants. The Convention seeks to create an international legal framework for ensuring the right to organize of civil servants, facilities for unions, procedures for determining terms and conditions for employment, settlement of disputes and civil and political rights.
