  1. Workshop on labour administration and inspection, 19 to 23 November 2012, Lima, Peru

    This workshop was carried out in collaboration with the Turin Training Centre as part of LAB/ADMIN's activities funded by the Norwegian government for improving national systems of labour inspection.

  2. Regional knowledge-sharing forum – labour inspection and the domestic work sector, Lisbon, 11-12 October 2012

    LAB/ADMIN participated in a regional knowledge-sharing forum on labour inspection and domestic work in Lisbon, Portugal, organized by the International Labour Office in cooperation with the Government of Portugal on 11 and 12 October 2012.

  3. Follow-up to ILO report on Maldives labour administration and inspection systems (Male, 22 -24 September 2012)

    Under the USDOL Project on Promoting Fundamental Rights and Strengthening the Labour Market in Maldives, the ILO undertook a mission to identify concrete steps to follow up on a needs assessment of the country’s labour administration system carried out in 2011.

  4. National Workshop on labour administration and inspection in Sri Lanka (Colombo, 19-21 September 2012)

    With support from the ILO Project on Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in Sri Lanka, Mr. Ludek Rickly, Senior Labour Administration/Inspection Specialist (LAB/ADMIN) and Mr. Algandram Sivananthiram (ILO Consultant) presented the findings and recommendations from a recent ILO needs assessment of the country’s labour administration and inspection system during a national workshop.

  5. Training of heads of labour inspection in Ukraine

    The ILO organized a three days training for the heads of central units and local offices of labour inspection services in Ukraine, from 18 to 20 September 2012.

  6. Workshop to discuss a Strategic Plan for labour inspection in Viet Nam

    19 September 2012

    The Viet Nam Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs organized a workshop to discuss a draft Strategic Plan for labour inspection in the country. The meeting was attended by senior MOLISA officials along with representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the Government Inspection Service. The ILO was invited to comment on the draft plan, particularly in light of its assessment of the country's labour inspection system in February 2012.

  7. Ukraine launched campaign promoting the role of labour inspection

    Under the Canadian funded project “Promoting Collective Bargaining and Labour Law Compliance in Ukraine” the ILO provided support to the labour relations inspectorate, the occupational safety and health inspectorate and social partners to organize a national campaign to raise awareness on the role of labour inspection, the main rights and obligations of workers and employers, wages, working time and undeclared work.

  8. Training of training on modern systems of labour inspection in Bosnia and Herzegovina

    The ILO organized from 12 to 14 September 2012 in Bosnia and Herzegovina a three days training of trainers on modern and effective systems of labour inspection.

  9. 3rd training of trainers course for labour inspection, Nanjing City

    10 September 2012

    Under the framework of the ILO/NORWAY Project on Good Governance through Labour Administration and Labour Inspection, the third training of trainers course for labour inspection was held from the 10th to the 13th of September 2012 in Nanjing City of Jiangsu Province, China.

  10. Meeting of the Network of Training Institutions in the Field of Labour (RIIFT) on equality and non-discrimination

    On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, members of the Network of Training Institutions in the Field of Labour (RIIFT) gathered in Hammamet, Tunisia to discuss the role of training for labour inspectors and other officials to promote the principles of equality and non-discrimination at work.
