Fishing sector is considered as one of the important sectors for Indonesia. To ensure labour rights of fishing workforce, Indonesia continue to improve its labour inspection in the fishing sector, with support of the ILO.

Along with Labour Law Unit and ILO DWT and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, the LABADMIN/OSH Branch organized in Moscow, Russia on 21-23 August a Tripartite Sub-Regional Conference on “DRIVING COMPETITIVENESS AND PRODUCTIVITY THROUGH LABOUR LAW REGULATION AND COMPLIANCE”. The event was attended by a number of high officials from the Ministries of Labour and Labour Inspectorates and social partners’ representatives, from eight countries of the Region.
