Permanency of labour inspectors in El Salvador

El Salvador has taken legislative steps to guarantee that all labour inspectors have the status of civil servants, thereby ensuring stability of employment in line with the ILO's Labour Inspection Convention, No. 81.

This development is the culmination of work initiated by the ILO, with funding from the United States Department of Labor, to strengthen the labour inspection system in El Salvador .
