English: Labour inspection and development: Some reflections, pdf 0.3 MB
This study deals with the outcomes of labour inspection that extend beyond the traditional performance indicators – such as number of inspections, number of fines issued, number of workers assisted, etc. – and it examines the impacts of labour inspection on social and economic development. It provides the analytical lenses and investigative tools with which to examine the perception of when and how the interventions of labour inspectors promote positive changes in the mobilization and protection of workers, as well as in the reorganization of production and business practices, through legal, managerial and technological tools.
