Labour Inspection country profiles

Resource list | 13 May 2010

The labour inspection country profiles that you will find on this site provide a rapid overview of the labour inspection systems in a number of ILO member States. Their purpose is to facilitate a general understanding of how the labour inspection system works in each country, and to provide the reader easy access to information on a number of topics. However, the profiles do not intend to give a comprehensive and concluding description of the integral labour inspection system in any given country in all its aspects.

Furthermore, while it is our intention to update the information in these pages as often as possible, there will undoubtedly be lapses and we apologize for any outdated information.

Amongst others, the following information can be found in the labour inspection country profile:

  • Organizational set up and constitutional embedding of the labour inspection system at central and decentralized levels;
  • Major laws relating to the national labour inspection system;
  • Scope of labour inspection;
  • Programming and communication;
