Uganda labour administration and labour inspection needs assessment

On the invitation of the Uganda Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, a team of ILO officials from Geneva, Pretoria and Dar es Salaam carried out a needs assessment of the labour administration and labour inspection system in Uganda.

Through a series of interviews at the central and district levels with government officials, trade union leaderrs and employer representatives, the objective of the mission was to assist the country in identifying areas for improvement to its labour administration and inspection services.
