A delegation of 13 officials participated in the study tour, comprising of senior government officials from different Ministries implementing and monitoring different social protection programmes, workers’ and employers' organizations, network of civil society organizations, National Planning Commission and ILO CO-Kathmandu.

The programme included an interaction with officials from all major social security institutions in Thailand, presentations by the Thai officials and visit to specific facilities such as old-age home, rehabilitation centre for people with employment injury and social security organization at local level responsible for distributing social security benefits.
