Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) play crucial roles in generating employment opportunities and alleviating poverty in Nepal. However, these roles are often not recognised due to the subsistent nature, scattered existence and scale of operation of most MSEs. Nevertheless, their contribution is significant, forcing policy makers, academics and others to consider MSEs as a vehicle for economic development at grass roots level.
