The Launch of Labour and Social Trends in Indonesia 2012: Working for a Sustainable and Equitable Economy

The fifth issue of the Labour and Social Trends in Indonesia analyses progress towards the goal of sustainable growth with equity. This report therefore shares an analysis of selected indicators that provide further insight to the quality of employment and macro-economic development in Indonesia.

The International Labour Organization (ILO) is to launch its annual report “Labour and Social Trends in Indonesia 2012: Working for a sustainable and equitable economy” on Thursday, 4 April.

The fifth issue of the Labour and Social Trends in Indonesia analyses progress towards the goal of sustainable growth with equity. This report therefore shares an analysis of selected indicators that provide further insight to the quality of employment and macro-economic development in Indonesia.

Particular focus is given by the report to the analysis of trends and strategies that illustrate how Indonesia is working towards a sustainable and equitable economy.

The report will be officially launched at Sari Pan Pacific Hotel, Jakarta, from 12 p.m. onward, presenting national discussants from the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration, the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) and the national confederation.

The report and all associated material and information are embargoed until the launch.

The Labour and Social Trends in Indonesia report is a yearly publication of the ILO Office in Indonesia.
