    The Indonesian Ministry of Manpower and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed a joint Protocol for Handling of Non-Tolerable Cases (Zero Tolerance Protocol/ZTP) at the Ministry of Manpower office in Jakarta on 5 March 2018.

  3. Promoting labour rights of domestic workers through movies

    The ILO conducts an innovative campaign to promote decent work for domestic workers. Through a series of short movies, the ILO organizes a campaign to encourage employers of workers to uphold the rights of domestic workers in their own homes.

  4. Recognizing domestic workers as workers in Malang

    Domestic workers represent the single largest group of female salaried workers contributing to the households of others in their own country or abroad. To date, the ILO, based on the data from the Statistics-Indonesia (BPS), estimates that there were 4 million domestic workers in Indonesia; of these, around 85 thousands are children under the age of 18 years old.

    A campaign to improve the working conditions of domestic workers in Indonesia titled “We Have the Same Right” by reaching out to their employers and the public at large will be launched by the International Labour Organization (ILO) in Bandar Lampung, on Saturday, 10 February, at Boemi Kedaton XXI, Lampung.

  7. ILO to launch “We have the same right” campaign in three cities

    The ‘We Have the Same Right’ Campaign focuses on the employers of domestic workers – encouraging them to uphold the rights of domestic workers in their own homes. The Campaign will be launched in three cities: Lampung, Makassar and Malang.

    In conjunction with the commemoration of the National Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Month, the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the National OSH Council (DK3N) is conducting an interactive discussion title “Hazards at the Workplace, the Importance of OSH” as part of the efforts to raise the awareness regarding the importance of OSH at the workplace as a response to recent national OSH incidents.

  10. Realizing decent work for domestic workers in Asia region

    Domestic workers organizations, trade unionists and relevant representatives from 11 Asian countries will attend the three-day Regional Meeting, aimed to share good and promising practices, examine lessons learned and develop future activities in realizing decent work for domestic workers and eradicating child domestic labour in the region.
