    The training is part of the European Union funded programme “Enhancing Rural Access Agro-Forestry Project ERA”.

    The ILO conducted a training workshop with members of a union-supported cooperative in Timor-Leste on how to establish cooperatives based on community needs and how to put cooperative principles into practice.

    The Spotlight Initiative is a global partnership to eliminate all forms of violence against women and girls, which is being funded by the EU and implemented through five UN agencies in Timor- Leste: ILO, UN Women, UNDP, UNFPA and UNICEF.

    The Employment and Environmental Sustainability Fact sheet for Timor-Leste is part of a series providing a baseline for key indicators of employment and environmental sustainability performance in 36 countries across Asia and the Pacific. These indicators include: (i) employment in environmental sectors; (ii) skill levels; (iii) vulnerability of jobs; (iv) jobs in renewable energy; and (v) scoring on the Environmental Performance Index.
