  1. The ERA Agro-Forestry Project closes 3rd Batch training programme and launches new trial contracts in Timor-Leste

    The training of contractors, engineers and supervisors is critical in facilitating access and market linkages within rural agroforestry communities in Timor-Leste. The ILO in partnership with the Ministry of Public Works has implemented this with support from the European Union (EU).

  2. ILO and 10 contractors sign agreements for COVID-19 response in Timor-Leste

    The ILO in collaboration with Directorate for Roads, Bridges and Flood Control (DRBFC) signed contracts with 10 local contractors as part of implementation of US$ 550,000 ILO Regular Budget Supplementary Account (RBSA) COVID-19 Response funding.

    In conjunction with the commemoration of the World Day Against Child Labour (WDACL), the government of Timor-Leste called for the important role of the families in combating child labour, particularly during the pandemic.

    The handover ceremony took place at the Don Bosco Training Centre in the presence of the European Union Ambassador Andrew Jacobs, a Representative of the National Authorising Officer, a Representative from the Directorate of Roads, Bridges and Flood Control (DRBFC), a Representative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Timor-Leste (CCI-TL), and the ILO Head of Mission.
