    Local authorities at district and village levels play a key role in protecting migrant fishing boat crews from forced labour at sea

    The ILO’s 8.7 Accelerator Lab programme, in collaboration with its trade union partner, builds the capacity of local authorities of Pemalang district, known for its fishing industry, to better protect their migrant fishers through a Migrant Worker Resource Centre.

  2. Training for Regional and Village Governments of Pemalang Regency on the Protection of Migrant Fishing Ship Crews

    Through this initiative, the ILO Accelerator Lab 8.7 programme (AL) aims to To strengthen the capacity and the coordination of regional and village governmental authorities in implementing the Law No 18/2017 on the Protection of Migrant Workers and the Government Regulation No 22/2022 on the Protection of Migrant Fishers.

    Tens of thousands of women migrant workers are empowered by Gender Responsiveness-One Roof Integrated Services Centers

    The ILO supports the establishment of Gender Responsiveness-One Roof Integrated Service Center (LTSA-MRC) in four districts to advocate and empower tens of thousands of women migrant workers.

  6. Boosting Care Economy Awareness in Indonesia via Social Media

    The training aims to support the ILO to promote the “Recognize-Reduction-Redistribute (3R)” from the above 5R Framework of Care Economy, by digital-based awareness raising and outreach activities; to community of workers, business, employers, and social partners.

    This survey paper was initially prepared as part of the ILO’s technical contributions in October 2020. The survey team collected 426 samples from waged employees between March and September 2020 and analyzed respondents’ history of employment termination and furlough.

  9. Guide - Mainstreaming gender equality, disability and social inclusion (GEDSI) and the prevention and response to sexual violence in vocational education and training institutions

    The ILO Skills for Prosperity Programme worked on establishing new regulations in Indonesian TVET institutions to address sexual harassment and violence in higher education for the very first time. The work was completed with four state polytechnics, establishing a senior taskforce responsible, working with social partners to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs) that integrated investigations, prosecutions and victim support with local services; and publishing and socialising the guidelines within the institution.
